this warm quinoa bowl tastes unlike anything. it’s nourishing, filling, and super good for you. filled with protein and healthy fats. prep it for an entire week of breakfast! i've been making it since 2018 and it never gets old. best tasting on a chilly winter morning.
ingredients//
2C unsweetened almond milk
1C organic quinoa
fresh fruit + nuts (strawbs, blackberries, walnuts)
1Tbs ghee or (vegan) butter
1 scoop unflavored collagen
1-2Tbs maple syrup
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1T hemp seeds
pinch of salt
nut butter of choice
method//
add (rinsed) quinoa, milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, chia, collagen to a saucepan. mix + boil, then turn heat to low. cover and simmer for ~15min until all liquid is soaked up. remove from heat and fluff up quinoa. add butter until melted. cover and let it sit (no heat) for about 10 min. place 1/2 cup cooked quinoa in a bowl and add toppings! drizzle extra maple syrup if you want it sweetener. i love adding milk to make it feel more like cereal! enjoyyyy
