Candy Corn Sour Mocktail

there are two types of people in this world: those who like candy corn, and those who don’t. for those of you (like me) in the candy corn loving group, this drink is for you! a simple candy corn sour with a vanilla cream cold foam on top.

ingredients (makes 2)

2oz candy corn simple syrup (1/3c candy corn, 1/3c water)

3oz lemon juice

4oz water (or NA alcohol)

ice

-

cold foam (optional):

1/2c heavy cream

1/4tsp vanilla

2tsp maple syrup

candy corns, mini clothespins + mini cones for garnish!

method//

start by making your candy corn syrup - add 1/3c candy corn + 1/3 water to a saucepan over high heat. bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium. stir until candy corn melts down and let simmer for about 15min. strain into a jar and let cool. to make your cocktail: add candy corn simple syrup, lemon juice, water, and ice to a shaker. shake until chilled. pour over ice. instead of adding egg white for froth, i wanted a vanilla cold foam. here’s how to make it: hand froth your heavy cream, vanilla and maple syrup together to create a whipped cold foam topping. add a dollop on top of your drink, if desired. enjoy!
