baklava stuffed dates

you’re not dreaming — this is real life. they taste even more delicious than they look. you can eat them chilled or warmed up and they’re gluten free/vegan.


7-8 medjool dates

1/4c chopped pistachios

1/4c chopped walnuts

3-4 tbsp honey

1/2 orange, zested

pinch of cinnamon

1/8 tsp salt

dark chocolate

coconut oil

flaky sea salt


pit your dates and open them. add nuts, honey, orange zest and salt to a bowl. mix and add more honey as needed to thicken mixture to a goop-y consistency. melt dark chocolate with coconut oil in the microwave in 30 second intervals until melted. spoon baklava mixture into dates and drizzle chocolate all over. sprinkle flaky sea salt on top and freeze for 10-15 minutes.
