CHOCOLATE COVERED SUMO CITRUS WITH FLAKY SEA SALT
i shared this recipe in my stories last march and i think it’s still my most popular “recipe” to date. so many of you loved how simple and seriously TASTY these are. the perfect snack or dessert! 10 minutes and you’ll be in sumo mandarin heaven. take advantage of the best szn of the year and make theseee!
1 Sumo Citrus
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
1-2 scoops organic coconut oil
flaky sea salt
peel your sumo (best part about a sumo, they’re EZ to peel.. almost fun! the skin comes right off). lay down parchment paper on a plate or sheet. add chocolate chips to a bowl with 1 scoop coconut oil and nuke it in the micro for 20ish seconds. take it out, mix to melt. if the chips aren’t melting, add a little more coco oil. nuke for 20 seconds again. now you should be able to mix to melt all the chips. (u can also melt chocolate on the stove with a double boiler).
dip one side of the sumo mandarin into ur chocolate mixture and lay flat on parchment paper. sprinkle flaky sea salt on top. once you’ve done all the slices, place them in the freezer for 10-15 min, enough so the chocolate gets hard but the sumo’s don’t freeze. ENJOY!!!
